PERSONALITY Being rather outspoken and over the top, Caradoc is best seen by others as something of a loud mouth. He's that kid that would ask stupid questions in class just because he was bored with the material. He's the boy that'll voice his opinion in a conversation he's only heard in passing. He has the habit of butting his head in where it doesn't belong and often times forces his presence on people whether they want him there or not. Though, that's not to say he's so arrogant that he's incapable of taking a hint. By now he knows which territories are Caradoc friendly and which aren't - the latter he has a habit of irritating for the sheer pleasure of it. Caradoc's sense of humour dwells on the immature and sexual. He's the type that lives for bad sexual innuendos and loves the opportunity to make elaborate stories up for a good laugh. Though some might say the later are nothing but lies - Caradoc has a tendency to defend them as being obviously unrealistic and should not be taken seriously. When the boy's not running his mouth chances are he can be found cracking jokes on someone else. He's not above laughing at other peoples expenses and has been known to have overstepped the line in the past. Course, that's not to say he's not capable of apologizing when it's obviously necessary. He does have a heart...despite his lack of filter. As would be expected Caradoc is a young man who's very much the extroverted type. Unfortunately, he seems to have the habit of expressing anxiety and sadness through anger. If anything the boy has two sides to him. The loud and laughable mask and then the pissed off at the world side - the space in between only subtly shows itself in private. A bad temper is a Dearborn trademark and has been passed on from generation to generation much like the magical gene. Caradoc is no exception. Though he's relatively difficult to rouse and he thinks himself a fairly patient man once he's reached his limit there's no turning back. Caradoc isn't above fighting dirty so think wisely before you piss him off. ROMANTICALLY STATUS: Single PARTNER: None SEXUALITY: Heterosexual Romantically Caradoc Dearborn can portray a side that's not as loud and a bit more affectionate than one might expect. When he does meet someone he's interested in pursuing a relationship with Caradoc doesn't hold anything back. He makes his interests known relatively quickly and doesn't shy away from the potential of rejection. He's the type that doesn't drop a project because of a little bump in the road. Sure, occasionally when he's turned down repeatedly he might be a little less inclined to woo her - but ultimately Caradoc lives for the challenge of changing someone's mind - especially if she's nice on the eyes. He considers himself loyal to his counterparts when he engages in a "serious relationship" and has a strange need to please them. He's undoubtedly affectionate and finds great pleasure in public displays of affection. He's incredibly territorial and it's not surprising that he's been bitten by the jealousy bug in the past. Their personalities are incredibly alike. Outspoken and quick to anger the pair have managed a decent father-son relationship. Alun is very proud of his son, while his son is very proud of him. It's obvious that the pair have a mutual understanding and a healthy relationship with one another. She takes very little rubbish from anyone and is very set in her ways. She's outspoken to the point where she gets things done and she's always willing to confront people if something’s wrong. Supportive and strong willed, Caradoc and his mother have had the issue of her wanting to control his life early in his teen years. However, thanks to resistance and Alun playing referee...they've come to a happy medium. Though Caradoc won't admit it, he's very much a momma's boy and does everything his mother asks of him....sure it's with a lot of complaints - but he does it all the same. HOUSELF: Nook AGE: Unknown | Service: 32 years w. Dearborns/Lynton Nook is a eager to please little house elf with big hazel eyes and Doberman style ears. He wears a variety of pillow cases and has a shockingly deep voice. He's lived and worked in the wizarding side of Lynton House for 32 years and without complaint. He's show great respect by the family and has an undying loyalty to them. Caradoc remembers playing chess and table quidditch with the house elf when he was a child and looks at the house elf as an ugly adopted brother for the most part. PET: Alabastor Great Dane | AGE: 9 years old Alabastor dwells happily at home and acts as a rather poor guard dog on the muggle side of the house during the evenings. He's a big baby at heart and yearns for attention from anyone who'll give it. Despite his age he still enjoys playing fetch and tug-o-war. Unfortunately, he's just too friendly for his own good and has a habit of licking trespassers instead of barking at them. Extended relatives on father's side: Aunt Briallen Lee (nee; Dearborn), Aunt Eilwen Yaxley (nee; Dearborn), Uncle Gareth Dearborn Extended relatives on mother's side: Granny Rhian Lynton (muggle) HISTORY Born on April 23, 1961 in Llandudno, Wales, Caradoc Dearborn was happily received by an enthusiastic wizarding couple by the name of Alun and Bryn Dearborn. Alun was a Ministry employed hit-wizard and Bryn owned and operated Lynton House; which she inherited from her grandfather when he died shortly after Caradoc's birth. Growing up Caradoc spent a great deal of time in the small bed and breakfast. There were 15 muggle oriented rooms and then a separate wing with 20 additional spaces for wizarding folk. Though the place catered to the occasional muggle guest looking for quaint family experiences it seemed majority of their customers were of the wizarding community. Caradoc grew up in a healthy wizarding environment mostly surrounded by adults. Despite this Caradoc never failed to take interest in those children who did occasionally stay at the family hotel. He managed to rejoice in being a child and rarely ever suffered from any pangs of needing to grow up quickly. He enjoyed his share of make believe and fantasty as well as the occasional sport - competitive swimming and quidditch being main players. Though Caradoc grew up fairly aware of his wizarding relations as well as the muggle way of life he never went to muggle primary. There were certain concerns that Alun seemed to express about the idea when their son came of age. The main concern was that the responsibility that came with a six year old who wasn't around children all the time trying to distinguish the differences between wizarding and muggle life. Plus, Caradoc's youthful magic ability was a bit more noticeable than would have been appropriate for muggle primary. Instead they decided they'd take Caradoc's pre-Hogwarts education into their own hands. Bryn's mother, Rhian Lynton, took it upon herself to teach the boy his basic school studies. Having been a muggle school teacher at one point in her life she had the basic knowledge and learning materials to supply six hours of writing and arithmetic every day. When Caradoc got his Hogwarts letter it was greeted like a right of passage. Following in his father's footsteps Caradoc was housed in the House of Hufflepuff. It took him awhile to make friends thanks to his outgoing personality but eventually he won some of them over. Socially Caradoc made use of his interest in quidditch and avidly tried out for spots on the team. Finally in his third year he managed the position of keeper where he's sat ever since. Other than quidditch other hobbies that Caradoc seemed to take an interest in was causing trouble for Filch through creative and annoying pranks. He also entertained the likes of the female populace as it suited him. Accademically, Caradoc showed great strength and natural ability in Defense Against the Dark Arts and even managed great charms work. He faltered in theoreticals, but that didn't seem to bother him. If the work didn't come naturally to him Caradoc didn't give it much thought. If the work required a lot of textbook reading outside of class....he had to force himself to focus. Caradoc was one of those students who didn't put forth the effort if the class didn't benefit his goals at the time. His academic goals include winning Hufflepuff the House Cup and getting into Law Enforcement training. He's come to terms with the fact that there's no way he'll be an auror thanks to his grades in certain classes, but he's all the more willing to work in the law enforcement squad. He's never had issues with being the muscle and besides, his father's managed well enough for the most part and he's the most powerfully magical chap Caradoc knows in person. It's something to look up to.
